Wobbler Engine

WIT

The Wobbler Engine was a semester-long project completed in my first manufacturing course. Students were provided with a full set of technical drawings and tasked with fabricating the engine components using manual milling and turning operations on the shop mill and lathe machines.

This project developed my ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacture precision parts within tight tolerances. The work required careful measurement, setup, and sequential machining operations to ensure proper fit and alignment of all components.

Several parts required remanufacturing due to early mistakes in machining and setup. Reworking these components reinforced the importance of planning operations, maintaining dimensional accuracy, and verifying measurements throughout the process. The experience provided a practical foundation in machining fundamentals and manufacturing discipline.
